Where Bedbugs Live in a Home That Hosts
Bedbugs settle where people sleep, because that is where a host stays still for hours. A group that sits on the sofa for an evening is a far smaller draw than the bed upstairs. That is the reassuring part.
The less reassuring part is the coats. In many homes they go in a pile on the nearest bed, and bags go on the bedroom floor beside them. That is the one habit that puts visitors' belongings where bedbugs are. Changing it costs nothing: a rail in the hall, hooks, or a clear chair in the room you meet in.
Pause the Group or Carry On?
If the bedbugs are in a bedroom and the group meets downstairs, many hosts carry on, with coats kept out of the bedrooms and nobody using the beds. If they have reached a sofa or the chairs the group sits on, it makes sense to pause until treatment is done, or to meet somewhere else for a few weeks.

Telling the Members
A short, factual message is enough: bedbugs were found in the house, where they were, what is being done, and what you would suggest people do. Fitting Treatment Around the Meeting Night
With chemical treatment, each visit is one to two hours and rooms can be used once the surfaces are dry, so a visit early in the week rarely clashes. There are usually two or three visits, about 10 to 14 days apart, and the room needs clearing each time. Heat treatment is usually one visit lasting most of a day, which is easier to schedule around a weekly group; it costs more. If you keep a stack of folding chairs or cushions for the group, mention it. Stored seating near a bedroom is worth a look during the visit.

Could a group member have brought them?
It is possible, just as it is possible they came back from a trip or in second-hand furniture. Unless you find bedbugs on someone's belongings, there is no way to tell.
Should I ask members to check their homes?
It is reasonable to tell them what was found and suggest they look at their own mattress seams over the coming weeks. Most will find nothing.
Do we need to cancel the next session?
Not always. If the bedbugs are confined to a bedroom and the meeting room is clear, many hosts carry on with coats and bags kept out of the bedrooms.

If they are stored near the affected room, yes. Mention them when you ring so they can be looked at on the visit.

Suggest they check their own bed seams and see a pharmacist or GP about the marks. An evening on a sofa is a much less likely source than a night in a bed, but it is worth them looking rather than guessing.
